Embarking on unforgettable adventures this spring has filled my heart with joy and wonder despite not being on the road as much as I initially hoped.

Reflecting on my phone photos, I realize I have been lucky to still get out and how rich and diverse these experiences have been.

I’m excited to share them with you.

Starting Spring with Sports and New Wheels

April kicked off with a bang! I saw the Nuggets win against the Spurs, which was super exciting.

Just days later, I said goodbye to my Wrangler and hello to a shiny Toyota 4Runner.

This new car means I’m ready for even more adventures.

It was a great start to spring, filled with sports and setting up for future travels.

A Change of Plans Leads to Unexpected Exploration

Our plans to witness the solar eclipse changed due to Carl’s accident.

Rather than traversing Texas by motorcycle, we embarked in the new 4Runner and experienced the celestial event in De Queen, Arkansas.

This change led us to accumulate 2000 miles in just four days, mostly exploring Oklahoma and southeastern Colorado.

The journey unveiled numerous historical and scenic landmarks, reinforcing the notion that adventure and discovery are omnipresent, especially in areas we hadn’t considered before.

This route adjustment not only preserved our eclipse viewing but enriched our travels with unforeseen delights.

Job Hunts and Historical Hunts in Colorado

Even while traveling, I kept looking for a job.

We had to stop at a gas station so I could have a phone interview. I didn’t get the job, but every opportunity counts.

One day, we went to Colorado Springs. There, we found an amazing motorcycle museum. It had cool bikes and stories about Colorado.

We also made time to see the snowy Rocky Mountains. They were beautiful and a bit chilly. Each place taught us something new.

It was a mix of chasing jobs and discovering history. These trips made me love adventures even more.

Embracing Winter’s Last Hurrah in the Rockies

Our spring adventure continued as we dove into the Rockies’ snowy embrace. It felt like winter gave us one last show.

With snow all around, the mountains looked magical. We wore our warmest coats and hiked through the sparkling landscape. The cold air was fresh, filling us with energy.

Each step showed us new wonders. Tall trees stood covered in snow, like giants watching over us. We saw tracks of animals, guessing who might have made them. The silence of the snowy forest was peaceful. It made us listen to the quiet world around us.

We captured the beauty of this winter wonderland with our phones. Our breath turned to mist in the cold air as we laughed and explored. The Rockies taught us to love every season. Even the cold brought its own adventure.

This trip was a reminder of nature’s power and beauty. It showed us how changing seasons add to our adventures. We left with warm memories from the cold mountains, ready for spring.

The Rockies’ winter was a special time we won’t forget.

Westward to Wonders and Wildlife

Our journey west was full of amazing sights. Fantasy Canyon amazed us with its unique rock shapes. We felt like we were on another planet.

Every turn revealed something new. This place was like a dream, with rocks that looked like sculptures.

Then, we spotted large bald eagles. Seeing them up close was thrilling. Their wings were huge! It felt special to watch them fly over us.

We stayed quiet, hoping they’d stay longer. These moments made us appreciate nature even more.

Flaming Gorge was another highlight. Its beauty took our breath away. The water was so clear, and the cliffs around it were massive. We spent days there, exploring and soaking in the views.

You need time to really see everything it offers, and Spring is the perfect season to get out.

The snow stopped us from reaching the northwest corner. But the detour led us to the Yampa River. The drive was stunning, with the river flowing beside us. We stopped many times just to look and listen. The river’s sound was calming.

Gates of Lodore was our next stop. It was majestic, with tall cliffs guarding the entrance. We felt tiny standing before it. The area was peaceful, perfect for reflection. We explored, finding beauty around every corner. This place was a reminder of nature’s wonders.

Everywhere we went, we found something incredible. From historical sites to watching wildlife, the trip was unforgettable. We learned so much and saw so much.

Our hearts were full of joy from these adventures. The West showed us how beautiful our world is.

When Adventures Pause: Recovering at Home

Injuring my foot meant taking a break from my travels. I had to stay home for a while. It wasn’t what I planned, but it gave me time to rest.

During this time, I enjoyed being with my pets. They kept me company and made me feel better. Being home also lets me think about past trips and plan future ones.

I missed being on the road, but I knew healing was important. So, I took it easy, read books, and watched travel videos.

This pause in my adventures reminded me to appreciate health and well-being. Slowly, my foot started to feel better. As I healed, I began planning small outings.

These weren’t far trips, just close to home. They were simple, like picnics in the park or short walks.

This time at home showed me that adventures can be small and still bring joy.

I looked forward to getting back on the road, but I was grateful for the chance to slow down.

The Road Calls Again: Camping and Road Trip Adventures

After my foot got better, I was excited to get back outside. I packed up for some overnight camping trips. It felt good to sleep under the stars again. Each night, the sky was clear and full of stars.

I could hear the sounds of nature all around me. These trips were simple but so refreshing.

Camping and road trips reminded me why I love exploring and experiencing new things. Whether it’s in nature or at a lively event, there’s so much to enjoy.

These journeys brought smiles and happiness after a tough break. They were just what I needed to feel like myself again.

Getting back to these activities was a big step. It showed me that there’s always something new to look forward to. Each adventure, big or small, adds to our life’s story. And I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Looking Ahead: Summer Plans and Blog Growth

Summer is coming, and I’m ready for new adventures. I now have a part-time job with Argus Events. It’s exciting!

My travel blog is also doing great. It has more than 18,000 views and 16,000 visitors in just a few months. This makes me really happy and motivated. I plan to travel more and share these experiences with you.

There are so many places I still want to see. With the Toyota 4Runner, I can go further and explore new areas. And I’ll write about all of it on my blog.

My goal is to inspire others to go on their own adventures. I hope to see more concerts and maybe even camp under the stars again. Each trip, big or small, is a story waiting to be told.

And I can’t wait to share these stories with you. Let’s see where this summer takes us. I’m sure it will be full of surprises and new memories.

Thanks for following my journey. Your support means the world to me.
